The one thing I do miss about the old way of doing things is, with the FGC system of doing things participants had to sign up. You had to post in the thread saying that you were going to compete, this kept the Carebears and people who never post out of the competitions. I don't agree with automatically signing up every registered member on the site every week for each competition but without having extra work on Chiddy's (or someones) part I can't for the life of me think of a fair way to automate it.
Just a few thoughts.
Just a few thoughts.
Just as a note you DO have to sign up for the weekly competitions. It is not automatic.
Secondly I understand everyone's rants about people who possibly gamesave, do achievements offline and then go online so they all count etc. The problem is this: You can't prevent people from cheating. I personally am done with all gamerscore competitions as I am totally burned out on them. When you put up 6000+ points in less than 5 days and some jerk comes out of nowhere because he played his illegal copies of his games offline beats you it really really sucks (competition on 360voice not here). Plus since I have had a lot less time lately because of going back to school I have been for the most part trying to play games I enjoy opposed to crappy games just for gamerscore.
I personally feel for everyone who feels they are getting the raw end of the deal but I ask this: What would you have Jackson do? He can't take the time to personally police everyone who joins every competition. If they get knocked out by the xbox police then that is one thing, but really there are people who can put up insane numbers in a short amount of time (see the friendly competitions before - Spider, Noah and myself have all put up insane numbers in short times) Heck I even lost a competition to some loser named Noah9000 (j/k Noah!!!) because he put up 200 points more than me in one week - 5800 to 5600. But at least I know he did it legit which made the loss bearable.
So long and short is this - my suggestion is either to not play if you can't deal with the cheaters (which is what I did) or just play and accept if someone does something underhanded (like do achievements offline) but maybe if there is proof of gamesaving maybe then bug Jackson about it
Note: Proof of gamesaving - getting the achievement on x-blades for finishing the game on all 3 difficulties (one of which has to be unlocked by beating it on a lower difficulty) before getting one monster kill....lmao

well i personally would like to thank minioger for at-least listening to our opinions. most site would just not care or write it off. the only suggestion that i have it to make it where u have to be a certain rank on the site post wise before you can enter. that would at-least limit it to the more active members where the idea of cheating would be less bc we socialize with them more often. it would also solve the whole new account to compete idea. thats just my thought and again i would like to thank you for ur input.

Please understand I was just voicing my opinion, I do not manage the site, Jackson does. I just like people to think about it from his point of view as well. I try to put myself in his shoes, and that is what I would say if I did manage the site...lol. Please don't misinterpret my "staff" title as something that means that I have control over site changes.
