As most of you may know, due to the recent wave of bans from Microsoft, a lot of people now have banned consoles. I'm selling mine, on multiple websites. Because it's banned, I'm only asking 70$ for it. You cannot go online with it, but other than that it is completely fine. Let me know if you're interested.

someone like braz who does the look mods on the xbox might want it for some parts. i knew a guy who used to get xbox that were broken outside of the warranty cause he used the face plated, and casings and stuff for his mods

Just a bit of additional info...if you get achievements on your profile on a banned box and then try to use that same profile on live you will have to recover the profile and will lose any achievement points that were gained while using the banned box. Last I read there was no work around for that issue.
So you can't used a banned box to whore gamerscore in case anyone is interested in that.

Exactly. So, buying the said 70 dollar worthless-POS would be a waste of time and a good way to get your profile banned or your achievement score erased.

Kent, you just unplug your hard drive, plug it into banned xbox. play on banned xbox. get your achieves, unplug hard drive, put on other live system, and sign on to live, your profile updates with new achieves on live. i have seen it work.
i know many are against banned boxs. I was part of the bunch with a modded box, got banned, and just traded the boxs off with people who do not play on live, and are into downloading games and such.
Grenade here, learned his lesson, and just wants to get rid of the box. someone here or not here may like having a modded box, to play games before purchasing, who knows, ya know. I am not denying the fact, people tend to not use this type of stuff for "honest" ways, but please, do not hurt Grenades sale.

1. Everything I've read on afterdawn and other pirating info super centers tell me your hard drive idea does not work. I do not claim to be 100% right, if you've seen it work, then great.
2. I'm not bashing on modded boxes, I HAVE ONE that I just don't go onto live with so I don't have to worry about it being banned and any potential gamerscore issues that might cause.
3. It is only fair for me to come in here and inform people of potential hiccups in a purchase of a banned/modded box. If they have no interest in taking their account back onto live on a different box so the gamerscore issue becomes a non-issue then this is a GREAT deal. $70 is a steal if you don't care about getting on live or any possible gamerscore issue. But again, it's only fair to put out the info. Anyone who wants to buy it now knows what they need to research. I put out a caution sign, you put out a solution to that. That's great, now someone knows exactly what to look into. They can check my issue and look for more people confirming that your method works to get around that issue.

additional info is a plus, no doubt, my comment for bashing was more directed to the guy who posted above me, as he just spat out bs and i do not agree with that.
when you said recover profiles, you cant recover on a banned xbox anyways, as obviously it cant connect to live, so that road is axed. The hard drive method does work and all.

And it sounds like we may not even be arguing the same point.
My only caution to any potential buyer...if you play a game on the BANNED box and get gamerscore and then want to play on the UNBANNED box you will have to recover your gamer profile on the unbanned one because it shows your profile as corrupted when you transfer the HD or memory card from banned console to unbanned console and you lose gamerscore that was gained on the banned console.

i had seen that Kent on my little ones hard drive when i connected to live on his new xbox and had to recover. i also had to reformat his hard drive for some reason. however, on my elite, when it got banned, when i moved my hd to the new xbox, it signed on as if nothing ever happened. and did not have to recover. so who knows, it may be a 50/50 type thing.

Did you play more games AFTER the ban? If you hadn't added any new info to your profile by playing new games it might not show up as corrupted....who knows?
Either way...this is a steal of a deal for an xbox, just make sure you know what you want to use it for. This can be a killer deal for someone.
