THQ announced yesterday that Saint's Row has been added to the Xbox 360 Platinum Hits series and will see a price drop. Starting yesterday, retailers should be offering Saint's Row at $29.99.

AGOURA HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 2, 2007--THQ Inc. (NASDAQ:THQI) today announced the critically acclaimed open-world action title Saints RowTM, for the Xbox 360TM video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, has been added to the Xbox 360 Platinum Hits series, just nine months after its release. Beginning today, Saints Row will be available for the suggested retail price of $29.99 at retail outlets throughout North America.

"Saints Row revolutionized the open-world action genre as the first game of its kind on next-generation hardware," said Bob Aniello, senior vice president of worldwide marketing, THQ. "Achieving Platinum Hits status in just nine months is a tribute to Volition's talented development team, and we look forward to leveraging their proprietary open-world engine to continue pushing the genre forward."

I really like the Platinum Hits. Saint's Row is a great game for $30 even if it's almost a year later.
