Router Troubles
04/11/06 10:45 am | #1
Hey. I have the D-Link Wireless G router. (DI-524) If you have this router, do you have any troubles connecting to people? Whenever I use my D-Link wired router, I have no troubles. But, then that gets rid of my wireless for my laptop. (By the way...I dont connect my xbox wirelessly to the internet. I am considering buying a linksys wireless G router. Anyone know where I can get one for pretty cheap, unlike Best Buy who wants like 60 bucks? Thanks.

Linksys (a division of Sysco) are the best routers out there for us common folk.
This is the one I have (Linksys / WRT54G) and it is currently on sale at BestBuy for $49.99. However, if you want to find cheap computer parts and accesories, go to the web:
$44.99 - Same router at TigerDirect
$40.99 - Same router at NewEgg (After mail $15 mail in rebate)
Or just go to E-bay or Pricewatch.

I know this post is a few days old, but the Linksys WRT54G router is the one I am using, and it works great, even with my xbox 360 wireless adapter.

Thanks for the posts...I called D-Link and they helped me fix my problem. My next router will definately be a Linksys though.
