As far as I know, any plugged in controller will be recognized as vocals/mic
But there might be some fancy modding that enables you to replicate whatever it is in the drum kit that tells the system & game "it's a drum kit I tells ya!" to use a controller, or guitar, or the DDR mat

well, when i played demod it at best buy (im cheap) the yellow and blue didnt work so i used the Buttons on the drums and the pads
but i dont know if it will work with just the buttons
