Rock Band

I know theres been a lot of talk about this game lately
So i have always been a diehard GH fan
but today i spent a whole day with my friend and his bro playing rock band
so i figured, maybe i will buy the game itself and just play the guitar part with my GH guitar and buy the drums when they become seperate

Anyone have any thoughts on this? why i should or shouldnt

The only suggestion I would have is buy the whole thing for $160 because I heard the drums would be $80 so if you got the game and the drums that would be 80+60=$140 so for $20 you could have another guitar and a Microphone. Thats what I would do.

well all i need is the drums cause i got the game for x-mas and found out I already had 3 intruments. 2 guitar hero controllers= Guitar/Bass and my Xbox headset is used for a microphone so yea.. just teling you before you buy everything

Sounds like a solid plan, especially now that there is a set release date for the drums.

As has been said, you can use a regular controller + headset for vocals, and personally I like the GH guitar controllers better than RB's Strat anyway.

Before I knew the drums were going to hit solo in early FEb, I cracked and bought the bundle and I have really enjoyed playing the drums. It is a fun and interesting challenge!

sorta... For some people yeah, but for others they usually say something along the likes of, "WHY CAN YOU NOT WORK FOR ME CONTROLLER, GOD GIVE ME THE ROCK BAND ONE"

gh3 is harder on guitar then rock band. but rock band has drums. so it rules.

The timing on hitting notes on GH3 is a little messed up... So in that way it's easier.

Is the guitar hero controller compatible with Rock Band? I tried using the Rock Band guitar with GH and it didnt work. Anyone?

GH works on rockband but i dont know if rock band works on GH

it would only save you about 20-30 bucks for it..and you COULD use the headset and a controller as another way of playing it...but i personally would buy the whole thing.. just because using the remote and youre headset seems to take away a lot from the game.. its not that feeling of a..ROCk BAND..anymore..i guess you could say.. haha

I am one f#$%ing song away from beating Expert guitar (cuuurses to Green Grass and High Tides' second solo)
