Red Xbox 360 Controller Now Available

Apparently with little fan fare, as this is the first I have heard of it, a limited edition red xbox 360 controller was released yesterday. The product can be viewed on xbox.com, and is listed at $64.99. While this is a bit pricey, the controller does come with a play and charge cable and matching red rechargable battery pack, which is always a good thing. Here are the touted specs:

-Limited Edition red finish, with newly designed black accents

-Bundled with a Play & Charge Cable and matching red rechargeable battery pack

-2.4GHz wireless technology with 30-foot range

-Use up to four controllers simultaneously on one console

-Integrated headset port for Xbox Live play

-Adjustable vibration feedback for longer battery life

-New left and right shoulder buttons are designed for ease of use

-Use the Xbox 360 Guide button to keep track of your friends, access your games and media, or power on and off your Xbox 360 console

The pic is hard to see, but the only thing I am interested in is exactly what they did to redesign the shoulder buttons. I'm not rushing out to pick it up, but it may be a nice edition to come with your copy of Gears of War 2, plus it is a better alternative than the pearl pink controller.

Man finlly not a gay color, I need a new one to. Thats cool it has a battery pack. Cool the bottons are diff. I got to check this out.

i got a pink one, it's totally rad....why not just paint your own? gogamer.com had the black wireless WITH plug and play kit for $35.99 about two weeks ago- i had posted it in the thread with the deal on alone in the dark from them.

I'm gonna do that Livewire. I've got a spare faceplate so I'll paint it in Bengals stripes then do the same thing to the controller.

What's wrong with pink?

My wife loves her pink remote.... I suppose I'll have to buy this since I have every other stinking color.

if i get the red controller I will have a total of 5 controllers.
4 wireless and one wired.
I might pick it up in a couple of weeks because October is filled with new games coming out.
