I don't like the controls either, but the game is good so i'll deal with it.

I love the controls. I think the "clunky" movement is what makes RE5. Like Taco and Raine have said, if you could run and shoot, it would be immensly easy and boring.
What I didn't like about RE5 is the absolutely brain-dead AI and the fact that the series is no longer scary.

Quote by Raine:
You guys are missing the point here. RE5 isn't a SHOOTER. It's not a standard FPS game. It's a SURVIVAL HORROR game. Which means there are going to be things you're uncomfortable with. I personally thought it was really easy once I got used to the RE controls again. If you can't SURVIVE in the survival horror, go back to run and gun FPS games that take very little skill to play. This isn't Capcom saying "fuck you guys, our way is the best." This is being true to their roots. It takes time, thought and ammo conservation to play a RE game. If you could run and shoot, you'd waste your ammo ridiculously fast.
Or you can make good controls, and limited ammo, with some element of survival. BAM! Half life 2 .

no. if they put that in this game, then itd be...BAM! gay.
i wish they ai would be a little bit smarter tho. i mean, i know they sometimes have their moments of smarts (like when you do the end battle in 5-3, if you go to the room w/ the l hawk the ai should go after jill. and in 2-3, they do a really good job of shooting the ndesu and majini) but otherwise they're always RIGHT beside you, and that can get annoying (the caves in 2-2)
but idk....the ai is my only real drag. but im usually playin w/ my friend so....doesnt bother me

something inherently funny when complaining about zombie intelligence.

Well I don't know about Taco, but my problem with the AI is your teammate. I honestly don't know how Capcom made them so bad.... it's like the TRIED to make crappy AI.

i love the controls. it keeps the original RE feel. yea its a bit different but not too much. and why does a game only classify as a shooter if you can run and shoot at the same time?
i didnt read all 3 pages, i got to tacos looooong ass reply and quit...yea im lazy lol
