Do you have to have Gold to play online? My brother recently downgraded to Silver when his Gold expired for $$ reasons and he couldn't sign in to the Rock Band 2 tonight. It's the first time we've tried to play online together since he downgraded. I've always had Gold so I didn't know what to tell him.

Yeah, you have to have Gold....you can buy stuff with silver, and chat I believe, but no online MP for sure

with silver all u can do is access the marketplace. no online gaming and i dont believe u can do parties either but that may be wrong. but yea def no gaming online

Thanks fellas. Yeah, that's more of a bummer for me than him probably. All he plays are the Rock Band and GH games. His gamerscore has been stuck around 1800 or so forever. At least i know what to get him for his b-day or Christmas now.
