What's the impression of this game? I just checked out the Demo at EB and the graphics seemed pretty sweet. I didn't have the instructions so other than firing up my lighter, I couldn't do anything but walkaround.

Almost seemed like it has some 'Myst' or 'Oblivion' characteristics to it......

i downloaded the demo awhile ago, and i didnt like the game to much. The graphics were too....Doom(ish) which isnt the best upgrade since they looked amazing on the origional xbox, and the gameplay was really weird. With all the walking on the ceiling and portals and what not. i didnt like it to much.

to me the game seems really gimmicky. Things like walking on the ceiling and through boxes do not really grab my attention.

Also, the #1 thing about the game that really put my off was that it really felt like Quake 4 to me.

I know that this is probably not a fair comparison because the story mode seemed far more developed than Quake 4. I think that after playing the demo the game is definately a rent, as the multiplayer seems really lagged and repatative.

the demo was a piece, graphics at the ps2 level.. definitly not buying

hela- i heard all the achievements were easy, dont forget to pick it up

meh. I didnt even consider buying the game, c'mon the indian's are the main characters, it shouldve been Mexicans, they run fast shoot in any situation and from every position, and just look naturally better then the indians

I'm new to the site, but I disagree with all you on the game. Graphics at ps2 level? Huh are you serious? It does have too much of a Doom feel, but some of the levels are absolutely insane. If anyone actually enjoys the game, I would love to play some games.

One thing I have learned....most Demos do not do the finished product justice.

Based on the in-store demo I played, I think Prey is unique not only for style of Gameplay, but also for its "look".
