Please Confirm!

Can someone please confirm that this is a Best Buy misprint? If so, do you think they will give us the 12 months for $19.99? (I heard that this will be in the ad for next week.)

I can't confirm that it's a misprint, however I'm pretty sure they'll honor it if you bring it in. Nice find!

I saved the file and blew it up using both Paint and Windows Picture viewer and I am leaning toward it being photoshopped. The whole area around the "1" just doesn't look right when compared to the rest of the picture.
I have an easy way to find out, if I go in tomorrow night I will pull next weeks ad and look (it is online).
I will tell you that they probably wont honor it if they have an ad correction notice on the display where the product is at. You may also find one (ad correction) in your Sunday paper.

Apparently it WAS true. Check out the front page of Bestbuy.com.
Apparently this thing snowballed so fast over the net that Best Buy felt compelled to proactively cover ALL their bases before the ad hits the street. I cannot remember a time when they placed an Ad correction notice so prominently on the web site.
Expect ad correction notices in the Sunday Paper, on the shelf and obviously on BestBuy.com.
"Best Buy Correction Notice:
Our 3/12/06 ad states the Xbox Live 12-Month Gold Pack for Xbox 360 (SKU 7530184) is $19.99. This is incorrect. Our ad should state the Xbox Live 12-Month Gold Pack for Xbox 360 is $69.99. We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused. "

I'm gonna rip the ad correction notice off the shelf and say that it wasn't there. I'll get mad at Best Buy and say that was false advertising, and then they will feel bad for me and give it to me for $19.99. Genious...isn't it? haha. But seriously, im gonna give it a try.
