Children need school for more than just education. It helps you to develop socially, and learn interpersonal relationship skills.
I have to disagree there. I'm not trying to argue or anything, but you don't need school for that. It helps, don't get me wrong. I'm home-schooled and for most of the day I'm by myself at my house unless a friend calls or something. But don't you think kids can do that elsewhere? Like at work (when they're old enough), or sports, or somethin?
I went to school and honestly, I felt like it was doing more bad than good. If you're not one of the popular kids then you're automatically an outcast. I'm pretty sure that's not good for "social development". It might just be these ol' hick ass Kentucky schools but there's my two cents.

If I could leave school to play guitar hero.... I would
School is important to me but I enjoy guitar hero now I'm good at the game but not like amazing that I could go to major tournaments and win 1st
But my parents wouldn't let me out of school to play that and neither would 90% of them so these parents are dumb

Raine is right though (and congrats on the 30k, I had to take a second look to make sure I was looking at the right person's gamertag, haha) You may NOT need school for social developement, but it does play a BIG part in it, argue if you want, but that's how it is. Because your there day to day putting up with different people and you learn how to cope with it...It's not a bad thing, and i'm not saying home schooling is wrong because I dont think that, but I DO think that anyone that doesn't go to school everyday does miss out on quite a bit.
As far as this, omg its so freaking stupid, and they never said education was NOT priority 1, they were saying how they can imagine that it's not, and i agree with that. We have fantastic atheletes that don't go to college so they can play in the NBA or NFL or MLB or whatever, but they had crazy good skills. It even said that one guy only made $25,000 in his whole "career"
People should get real and pull there heads out of there asses, lol

Does he need to practice 16 hours a day? Even if he gets rich on gaming he sucks at life.

I know about cliques elsewhere, and it might just be because I'm older now or that these people are more mature, but that's going on at my job. You got the faggots that hate me and makes me look bad every chance they get, the people that try to help out, and the people who don't give a shit. And I can deal with that better than when I went to school. Like I said though, its probably just cuz I'm older now.
Also, I'd get a diploma, not a GED. I'm not gonna graduate with this anyway so I don't have worry about it.

yeah, there are the cliques everywhere, not only school and you would think that when you graduate or whatever you do, it would end...but no....life is like a never-ending story of high school drama, people just don't realize when to grow up you know?
At the nuclear plant I use to work at full-time for, the whole fucken place were old ass dudes acting like forking sophmores in high school...its all so irritating.

yeah...but am I not right? Once you graduate you would think that the high school drama would quit, but it doesn't.
hell, the teachers even have a hand in some of the BS that goes on amongst the students, not only that, they have there own drama with the other teachers....it's like a never ending cycle, lol
