#1: On Tuesday, Sony announced that the PS3 worldwide launch would be delayed until March 2007 EXCEPT in the U.S. and Japan due to Blu Ray shortages.
#2: Today, Sony revised down their estimates of consoles available for launch and by 2006 year end. On launch day, only 400,000 units in the U.S. and 100,000 units in Japan will be available. End of 2006 estimates downgraded from 4 million to 2 million units, totally contradicting a release Sony made last month re-affirming the 4 million mark by year end.
#3: Sony will NOT be providing a HDMI cable in the box. You will have to buy your own.
