The Orange Box Cheat: Full Ammo

If you're in need of ammunition for your currently-equipped weapon during any Half-Life 2 episode, insert the following code to max out your ammunition: Y, B, A, X, Right Bumper, Y, X, A, B, Right Bumper.

The Orange Box Cheat: Portal Cheats

Insert the following button commands during gameplay for the desired result...

Create Box

Down, B, A, B, Y, Down, B, A, B, Y

Fire Energy Ball

Up, Y, Y, X, X, A, A, B, B, Up

Fire Rocket Projectile

Up, Y, Y, B, B, A, A, X, X, Up

Portalgun ID 0

Portalgun ID 2

The Orange Box Cheat: Free Health

The code scheme popularly known as the Konami Code works during Half-Life 2 Episodes, oddly enough, and will generate a Health Pack for your use. The code can be done over and over again: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A.

if anyone is wondering you can get acheivements on portals even if you use these cheats. or at least the put portals anywhere cheat.

An easter egg for portals is theres a username and password written on a wall.
go to: http://aperturescience.com

1) login
2)Username> CJOHNSON
3)Password> TIER3

then when you see ADMIN>
you can type: Help, TheCakeIsALie, and DIR (which leads to the two options of notes and Apply). Apply leads to a form with about 50 or so questions that are a kind of apply sheet for aperture science.

another little eater egg is that portal mentions black mesa a few time plus if you look through a window you can see the name black mesa on a projector screen.

some cheats for half-life 2 are:
-Restore Health 25 Points - Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B Button A Button
-Restore ammo for current weapon(need to switch to gravity gun using RB before the code will work) - Y B A X RB Y X A B RB
Invincibility - Left Shoulder, Up, Right Shoulder, Up, Left Shoulder, Left Shoulder, Up, Right Shoulder, Right Shoulder, Up

all cheats will last through out the game and achievements may be gained while cheats are activated.

im not sure if you can get achievements with these cheats active since the update came out. im not sure on this though. i havent got the update yet.

you can get the achievments with the cheat codes, i used them to get the portal achievments
