Well I just watched the new trailer for Dead Rising 2 and let me say that some of the new weapons are friggin awesome. If you haven't seen the trailer yet HERE is the trailer for your enjoyment! It also reveals the new characters name which is Chuck Greene.

And yeah, yeah I realized that after typing it that today is the 28th so sue me lol

hmmmm I guess it wasnt that interesting to you guys but I have some more news just in case some of you missed it.

It appears that Dead Rising 2 will have multiplayer!

Yet more Capcom news, fresh out of Captivate 09, the yearly Capcom gathering in Monaco where everything is yellow and blue.

Eurogamer are reporting that Capcom Research and Development supremo, Keiji Inafune, confirmed that Dead Rising 2 will have a multiplayer mode.

"Single-player alone is not going to cut it. So rest assured we are going to put multiplayer in the game, but I can't go into specifics about what type of multiplayer as that directly relates to some of the game systems that we don't want to talk about at this event. It will be online multiplayer, so keep that in mind."

Inafune was also quoted as saying, "we're at a point in game history that you need to have some form of multiplayer component in a game." We're presuming he hasn't played The Darkness online then *shudders*

Let's just hope he's talking some form of online co-op mode and not some tacked on competitive mode that seems to be par for the course these days.



I don't know about you guys but this makes me very excited after seeing that trailer and hearing this.
