Medical Issues

I know most of you always wonder where i disappear to when i'm gone. I actually have a medical issue, im Iron Definciy Anemic. Basically my body has a hard time with iron, my blood count is low, causing me to feel weak, tired, dizzy and just plain hard to do things, i've been seeing doctors since december 07, with them trying to figure ot why my iron levels won't go up. Currently i've been feeling worse than before. I was taking 2 iron pills a day, but have upped to 4 a day just to be able to function. It gets hard living like this, so i just tend to stick to myself. I've been pushing them to do everything to find the source of what is causing this, so that hopefully 1 day i can be better/normal. Thanks guys.

I feel you, and I know how much it sucks being sick. I've been sick ever since June of 08 with some weird infection that no Dr I've been to can figure out. Some days I'll be fine and than the next day I wont even be able to get out of bed. I've had so many hospital stays since than that I can't even count from all my fingers and toes. It sucks ass.
But I really hope you get better soon and just stay strong, and think positive. I really helps .

I get all the crappy doctors because I have really shitty insurance. It's from welfare, so most of the doctors I've been to think I'm faking it just to get drugs. It's so fucking dumb how you'll only get the "real" doctors if you have good insurance.
Omg exactly. I have tricare, which is military insurance & boy does it suck. I have to see military doctors & they honestly have no idea what they are doing. There is a hospital here that is the best, like top 100 in the USA, but i cant even go to it, b.c im forced to use the military hospital

Sorry to hear that Zombie; I was almost without health insurance for a little while there, and in the state of Mass, for every month you go without health insurance, the state charges you 700 per month on your taxes, so its really not an option to go without
I've known two people that have an iron deficiency, and yes it certainly does suck; I know how it feels to have doctors not be able to diagnose your problem, too. Like Raine said, at least you have insurance, and any insurance is better than no insurance. Don't give up! Eventually you'll get someone who knows what they are doing and you'll be all better. Where's this House guy I've been hearing so much about?

Yah i had no idea i could switch to standard, but the thing about that is you have to pay a co pay & thats just money i dont have with bills, gas & food ya know? But yah i go all the time fighting so they figure out whats causing it. Cause accoding to them, my iron level doesnt go up any, it either stays or drops constantly. But thanks everyone. And its true, medical is medical. And its better than not having anything.
