That's right, Ben Stiller, among other celebrities, are pissed at Master Chief. Apparently, movie ticket sales for October are being recorded as some of the lowest in recent years. And whose to blame for this movie ticket deficit? Film execs are blaming Master Chief, saying that "Many movie-goers stayed home playing the game instead of venturing out to the theater."
I would have loved to be a fly on the wall during that conversation:
Exec 1: "Johnson, why are movie ticket prices so low this month?!"
Johnson: "Well, it may be because theaters are charging $20 a ticket, alongside exhorbitant prices for snacks and refreshments. The average movie patron needs to take out a small loan to go see a movie in the theater these days..."
Exec 2: "No no no, it must be that new fad...that 'Master Chief.'"
Exec 1: "Yes, he's the one to blame!"
