Lord of the Rings: Conquest Multiplayer Demo Available

Alright Tolkien fans, the lands of Middle Earth are your's for the taking; check out the multiplayer demo for the upcoming Lord of the Rings: Conquest, available for download now through the Xbox Live Marketplace. Weighing in at 1.25GB, a multiplayer demo released before the game cannot be a bad thing, right? Before you write this off as another sub-par RTS with less than 1000 achievement points (I'm looking at you, Battle for Middle Earth), LotR: Conquest has been described as Star Wars Battlefront with broadswords instead of light sabers. Yeah, now I am interested.

jen's playing the demo right now and it looks totally retarded.
... just sayin....

EDIT: she's stuck at the part where she has to use her "special arrows"...
and uh... she's pushing the right buttons but nothing is going on.
even i can't figure it out.
any help?

I think special arrows are left bumper, it fires 3 arrows at a time. I dunno though, I didn't play the training, only the online versus modes.

I won't lie. It's not good.

I'm a huge LotR fan, and I was hoping to be impressed, but no dice. It's ugly and pixelated first of all. Second thing I noticed was that it seemed as though they went out of their way to try to make the weapons, spells, special attacks, and combos more confusing than they needed to be. I get what they were trying to do, but it was not fun. Oh, and the spellcaster just sucks.

On a good note, I did like the way that they integrated the heroes from the books and movies into the game as playable characters. That was a nice touch for those who would like to be immersed into the story as the famous heroes of Middle Earth.

It would take a vast improvement over the demo for me to buy this game. (or some easy achievements!

Yeah I didnt enjoy this either, its a real downgrade from the Batllefront series which is excellent. Can`t wait for Battlefront III

I've seen the achievement list - it doesn't LOOK easy - but who knows. Like get 100 kills with the mages fire without dying. But I haven't played the demo....
