Any reason why when trying to put any link (by URL or just pasting into a thread) to a Xbox.com address starting with 'www' or 'HTTP' the software refuses to display the link?

Can you give an example? I'm not sure what you're talking about. Not sure if this is what you're talking about, however, a rule of thumb for the web and all websites: Hyperlinks always need to begin with "http://" when linking to a website thats not on the same server. So Otherwise it thinks its local, and will go to http://www.xboxohio.com/www.xbox.com for example.
