Is Microsoft's wireless headest any good?

Just curious who has one and whether or not they are satisfied. I currently have a motorola headset (The NFL ones that look like a coaches headset). I just can't stand that they are over the top of my head when I game. I have a somewhat spiky hairdo and once I use it I have to hope I'm not going anywhere because there is a big long line of flat hair across my head, makes me look like more of a dork than I already am

So who has the wireless headset and what do you think of it? What's good/bad about it.

Just to be clear, I'm talking about this one...

buy it. you'll never go back! :yes:

on a less biased note, they don't hold their charge very long.
once they're 6 months old or so a full charge might last you 3 or 4 hours.

from my experience anyway. they're much more comfortable though, and i have a hard time getting the wired ones to work properly with my controllers. not sure why.

i had one and hated it. it hurt my ear and noone could ever understand what i was saying. plus the batt didnt lst at all. im guessin these are like the wired ones. some ppl have no problems with them and some ppl have to buy one every month.

Ive never had problems with mine, but some of my friends said thiers crapped out after a couple months, Personally I find it more comfortable and the sound clarity isnt bad. But im sure thers bad ones in the bunch too.

I love mine and have never had a problem with it in the almost 2yrs I've had it. I still get a good 6hrs out of it at a time and it charges really fast. If you plug it in when not in use it will last all day.

That won't work on two different levels....

1. It's not the same price, I can get the Microsoft wireless ones for $20 on clearance.

2. Those are over the head, which is the only reason I'm getting rid of my current pair.

I also don't like having both ears covered...when I play I don't need/want to drown out the world. I'm married, I have no desire to play video games and completely shut off communication with my wife while doing so.

pros:
louder speaker for quiet friends
picks up your voice better
no "mike hair"
no mic connection to controller issues (like static)

cons:
keep another mike for when it dies (mine lasts from 10/11 a.m. to midnight if i turn it off when i eat lunch/dinner and other breaks)
cant charge and talk (Why the h*** not!!!)
rarley makes a VERY LOUD ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRNNNNNNTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! noise in all of you friends earsand you cant hear them yelling at you to stop
have to turn down your music because it picks up better
make sure you have no phones, ect that are 2.4GHz near it or you will never be able to keep it connected for more than 5 secs at a time
if you dont have hair covering your ears sometimes after a while it irritates your ear and you have to swap ears (not a big problem)
