And this is why I said I wasn't going to come back. I thought, hey let me give it another go. I try to post ideas and you folks get your panties in a bunch. I did not know we could turn off sigs, that is a new one on me, otherwise I would not have made that into an idea.
But I do have a few words to say... I appreciate your opinions.

I want to let everyone know that my posts in this thread were edited by myself. The Mods didn't tamper with the content of the posts. I left what I thought were topic related thoughts a weeded out the bullshit.
I'm not trying to be holier-than-thou, I'm just trying to put out a flame that I helped fuel.

I didn't know there was an option to turn sigs off either. I like to see everyone's sig cause most of them are real creative and they break up the monotonous scrolling. Maybe another feature can be added to the CP to allow for editing of profanity. That way those of us that have no problem with it don't have to pander to the few who do. Idea 3 was cool.

Feel free to discuss Ideas again. If you have a problem PM the person. As I stated before ideas are just that ideas. Many members were messaged and warned, another suspended, another banned. You know what XBA is for, if you want a fight order the next UFC event.
who was banned/suspended? i dont wanna go back through all the posts....
anyways, ill relate to the topic
ok i forgot what # the ideas were so...ill just talk about each one individually
the one about the women in the sigs. honestly, i find this one rather dumb, no offence. the site was made for 13 year olds and higher. by the time a kid reaches 13, hes already seen/heard about worst things then a girl in her bra and panties. plus, divas/knockouts wrestle in that, and sometimes things more "revealing" so i dont see the problem as the kid could see it there, so here wouldnt be a problem. just turn sigs off if you have a prob w/ it...
the one about the censor. again, the site was made for 13 and up kids. 13 is 8th grade (roughly. 7th/8th, depends on when theyre bday is really) and that means theyre in middle school. they hear worse on a regular basis. specially if they go to a mid school like the one i used to go to. those kids cuss just like (mabye worse) then sailors...so yea. and on this site people dont even cuss that much, unless in a flame war...so yea, no real problem w/ this either
the callout idea is pretty cool. as long as the events stayed there forever, so that way the bragging rights would be there forever lol or, if they do go away, maybe have em go away after like a month or so?

Xbox America is definitely not targeted toward children. 77.9% of Xbox America users are eighteen or older. The younger remainder is made of teenagers all thirteen or older. There really aren't many youngsters who can be offended. With that in mind, I'd never implement anything that would detract from mature users' experiences.
1. As I think someone already mentioned, signatures may be disabled through the User CP Preferences. If someone has a problem with the images in signatures they can simply disable signatures. The alternative would involve the staff screening every user's signature and that's just not practical.
2. I've never understood how profanity is damaging. It's a pretty inescapable part of life and I think any attempt to shelter a child from it will inevitably fail. However, I understand a lot of people would probably disagree so I may implement an optional censor filter. I believe I have already written a class for censoring, so if I can find it this shouldn't be difficult to add.
3. This has some potential. Back when Xbox America was just Xbox Ohio we had game ladders for certain games. You'd challenge someone, play them, and your position on the ladder would be adjusted based on how you did. If I understand this right, it'd be the same except without the ladder which might be a good idea. I'll have to think about it more.
