That's what I thought, but I got the DVD-Rs because they're cheaper, and when I went to burn it gave an error message like "This disk type is not compatible with this laptop" or some shit.

I've had a Toshiba-A-215 for 2 years now it just runs hot you might want to invest in a fan operated cooling pad for about $25 at walmart.
Good move with the mouse bty hate that touch pad.
Haven't heard of too many problems with that model yet?
Watch your power pack also it gets pretty hot. Nothing you can do about that though.
Remember Toshibas are hit or miss for quality due to most of their parts are bought mass wholesale (a.k.a. cheap parts).
