It might be considered a little juvenile, but anyone else looking forward to the release of the 7th and final book? I started reading the Harry Potter books when there was only a couple out, and I've been reading them ever since. The next book comes out in two weeks, and I'm rereading the last one, the 6th, in preparation. I plan on buying the 7th one at midnight on the 27th. There aren't huge lines for books are there? I should be able to walk in a midnight and pick it up, right?

Sadly at 19 years old I enjoy these books. I don't remember what happened in the last two though because I went through them in two days. I am also a sucker for the movies. I always go opening night. Next Wednesday I'll be at the movie theater lol

huge lines for books? of course!!!! everytime in the past when a HP book was released on the news that night everyone was standing in line to get in and start reading it all night lol. This is going to be even more crazy I think since it's the LAST book so expect some lines. But if they ship enough out you can probably pick one up at Meijers or something after midnight or whenever they put them out. I don't know what I'm going to do for the book but I really want to get it on the day it comes out. I'm definately seeing the movie first showing...

I guess I'll call ahead of time and ask when I should get there to ensure I get one.

I know for the last book. I drove to a place that was having a midnight release for it. The line was out the door and down the street. I was like f that, so the next day I went in in the afternoon and no one was there and there was a ridiculous amount of books left. If your going to a legit bookstore then they should have plenty.

I used to go at the midnight releases, but for the 6th book, my dad picked it up at Kroger the following morning. I think I'll stick with that route again this year.

Depending on what the Borders says, I'll get there a couple hours early if I have to. I've never waited for the release for anything like this because I've never had the independence that comes with a driver's license. I'm not sure what I can do while I wait with an assortment of people with lightning bolts on their foreheads... but I'll find something to keep me preoccupied. This is where that iPhone's kick ass browser would come in handy.
Edit: I wonder what kind of repercussions I would face if I was first in line, bought my book, skimmed the last 5 pages, and announced the ending in front of the whole line of harry potter fans? Man, I have evil thoughts. That's worse than the Smash My _____ projects.

^I have seen crazy things posted online about what happens. Of course I couldn't not read them. I am sure if you search around you could find some things to just shout out through a megaphone before you leave and have a buddy film it or something lol.
For instance:
Harry kills Voldemort, but not after Voldemort kills Hermione. Dumbledore didnt really die and is Harry's Grandfather (lol).
I am sure we could get more creative.

I would probably re-read the sixth book if I didn't have 3 other books to read for school(one of which I have to write a 4 page paper on), but since I don't have the time I guess I'll just have to refresh my memory as I go along in the seventh.

I am skimming the 5th book as we speak to refresh my memory for the movie. I'm not gonna make the 12am first showing but I'm going to the one tomorrow at Noon.

How'd you like the movie? I think I'm going to go see it with my sister. She gets back from Germany today and she loves the Harry Potter books and movies.
By the way, There's less than a week until the 7th book is released.
