Been busy rocking out to Guitar Hero: World Tour? Well then this month Activision has a real treat for you: Some downloadable content!!! But not just any downloadable content, how about a new playable character? Jimi Hendrix maybe? Hendrix has been confirmed to be available as a downloadable, playable character. Along with his avatar also comes a Jimi Hendrix Track pack featuring three master tracks:

-"Little Win"
-"Fire" - Live Version
The Hendrix track pack is set to be available starting November 13,`2008. But wait, there is more! If Hendrix just isn't your thing, another band is set to make their debut videogame appearance: The Raconteurs. The Marketplace will also feature a Raconteurs track pack, featuring three songs off of their second album, "Consolers of the Lonely". Songs featured in this track pack include:
-"Salute Your Solution"
-"Hold Up"
-"Consolers Of The Lonely"
The Raconteurs track pack will be available beginning November 20th. Both The Raconteurs and Jimi Hendrix track packs will be available for purchase through the Xbox Live Marketplace for 440 Microsoft Points. Similarly, each song will be available individually for 160 Microsoft Points.
I have never actually heard of The Raconteurs, but I am pretty happy about Hendrix. When I get Guitar Hero World Tour I will most definitely be picking up Fire! It seems between all of the commotion with Gears 2 and the NXE being released this month, we will all have to find some time for a little Guitar Hero.
