Alright, for all of you CaGs who didn't want to shell out the money for a new copy of Gears of War 2, but are upset when all of your friends want to play on the Flashback Maps, you are now in luck. Epic has announced that the Flashback Map Pack is available for all to download. That is right, for the price of 400 Microsoft Points, you too can now enjoy playing the Flashback Maps with your friends on your used copy of Gears of War 2.
For those of you that aren't aware, the Flashback Map Pack is a pack of five maps from the original Gears of War, redesigned for Gears of War 2. The maps include Gridlock, Subway, Canals, Mansion, and Tyro Station. If you purchase a brand new copy of the game, you receive a code allowing you to download the maps for free. These tokens, however, are one-time use, so if you pick up a used copy of the game or eBay it, chances are you aren't going to get the token. With the release of the map pack to the masses, however, I just wonder how much longer Epic is going to include download codes in new copies of the game...
