Gears Of War Special Edition

There has been some buzz around the net, and it has recently been confirmed, that Gears of War will not only benefit from a price drop very soon, but that a special edition will be released at the same lower price. Slated to begin later this month, the retail version of Gears of War will drop to $39.99 for the 360 version and $29.99 for the PC version.

The Special Edition will contain two discs; the first will be the game disc, the second will be a bonus content disc containing different items from Gears 1 and 2, including:

Gears of War Content:

-Gamer Picture Pack
-Emergence Day Gamer Picture
-Emergence Day Theme
-"FUTURE WEAPONS" Theme
-Emergence Day Message from Cliffy B
-Gears of War Map Pack 1 Trailer
-Gears of War - Multiplayer Map Pack 1
'-Hidden Fronts' Multiplayer Map Pack 2

Gears of War 2 Content:

-Gamer Picture Pack
-Teeth Theme
-Teaser Trailer
-Trailer
-Assault Game Play Trailer

This version will also contain all previous game updates on disc; the Annex multiplayer mode and the ability to earn the extra 250 achievement points. It will NOT, however, contain the Timgad Level from the PC version. Yes folks, the Brumak fight is a windows-exclusive and will not be coming to your beloved console.

They shot themselves in the arse not putting the Timgad level in.
By now, anyone who wants to play Gears already owns it. Except me.
And I'm not going to buy it with 2 right around the corner.

One of the best 60 dollar games I've ever bought!!!!!!!!

Yeah, it won't matter much when Gears 2 comes out, everyone and their family is going to be playing,.. the server will probably crash :|

i dont have GOW 1 but i already played, i no longer see the point in anyone else buying.

I've gone through 2 LE discs already. They probably know some copies are crapping out and they are offering a little more in content to sweeten the feeling. (price drop doesn't hurt either)

The only way I'd buy the original gears would be if they had that. The coop story is one of the best coop games I've played, I'd love more missions while I wait for 2!!!

No sorry, I just read in a Game Informer interview with Cliffy B that the new PC content will ABSOLUTELY NOT come to our beloved console! SO COLD!!
