Originally announced to be released on the 12 of this month, Fable Devs Lionhead Studios had to push the release date back to the 22nd of December. And by push it back, I mean blatantly lie about the originally announced release date, claiming that "(they) believe one site stated 12th which was a mistake, and as with all these sort of things it got some traction. We always said mid December..." That seems like an EA sort of thing to do, no?
Anyway, with a release date of December 22 now firmly planted in gamer's minds, it seems that Fable 2 fans will have to wait until next year to enjoy some new DLC, as recent developments, or lack of developments, have caused Lionhead studios to push it back to January of 2009, stating "due to unexpected technical difficulties, the Fable II: Knothole Island expansion will not be available until late January 2009."
It seems that Lionhead does a good job of getting everything going for themsevles, and then put too much on their plate and drop the ball. They need to realize what they are capable of in what sort of time frame, and don't commit to anything other than that. It is great to see a studio so ambitious, but falling behind with this and that doesn't show them in a positive light.
