Darkest of Days Demo Now Available

For those of you who have been interested in the time traveling first person shooter by 8MonkeyLabs then fret not! The demo for the game is now free for download for any GOLD xbox live user.

The demo is 429MB and places you in a civil war battle, first with a primitive musket, and later with a fully automatic rifle.

Time to go uppercut some cows!

WOW! If the demo is any indication, I will NOT be getting this game. I like the idea of travelling through time fighting historical battles! On the other hand, I don't like the idea of a game that has a demo that froze in the opening cutscene before a shot was even fired.

PASS!

The game constantly glitches out, and a lot of the characters end up in some of the trees, stone slabs, and other weird areas. Game is only worth it for achieves, and even that can be argued as well.

The game sucks completely.

i actually bought it yesterday but haven't played it yet.

lol yeah... kinda.
i knew i'd be picking it up eventually for the horse puncher achievement, but i didn't actually plan on getting it until gears is done. jen looked into it though and decided she wanted to play it. she's hooked, if you can fathom that.

Haha. I never know what game my gf will get hooked on, every time I try to guess I fail.

Lately she's been playing Professor Layton's Diabolical' and Scribblenauts.

I played the demo a few weeks ago on my friends computer. It was horrible. So then I downloaded the 360 demo to see if it was any better. Horrible controls, PS2 graphics, bad framerate, and TOO MANY glitches...

Not to mention, you would think mowing down enemies with modern weapons would be extremely fun and hilarious to watch. Nope, it's even less fun than using the old weapons.

I don't even think this game is worth a rent...Probably the worst 360 game I've played in a while.

According to the Game Informer review, you don't even use modern weapons as much as they make it sound like in the game description... most of the time you're stuck with the period weapons. O_o
