Charge and play Problem
12/07/06 8:51 am | #1
Okay, maybe someone here can help me out. When I first got my 360 back in January of this year, I got MS play and charge kit that came with the rechargable battery pack and charge USB cable. I used that for like at least 4 or 5 months, usually plugging it into my computer to charge the battery pack as opposed to plugging it into the 360. All of a sudden, one day, I went to plug it into the computer and it would not charge the batter at all. There is a green light on the charge cable, and the light would not light up. Thinking maybe my computer screwed up somehow (I don't see how, as it was the same USB port I always plugged it into), I plugged the cable into my 360, and had the same problem. Since then, I've just switched to using rechargable AA batteries, but I was wondering if anyone had any advice or experienced similar problems.

I've never had this problem, and I've been using mine for almost a year now. I always plug mine into the 360 though. Maybe you should try one of those nyko packs Z wrote a product review on. He seemed to like them.

Yeah, I was thinking about that, because the battery pack still seems to be good. I think something may be wrong with the charge cable, as it's not lighting up. I was going to try and see if EBGames sold just used charge cables or something too.

Check the USB port connections for dirt or corrosion. The contacts could be bad. If they look good, then maybe it just went bad on you.
The Nyko is identical to the MS stuff, but cheaper.
