Activision last month announced that Nirvana front-man Kurt Cobain would be one of the playable characters in the upcoming Guitar Hero 5.
However, his widow Courtney Love was obviously out of the loop when this was decided , with the rock chick posting a couple of furious tweets yesterday (flagged up by Kotaku) that threaten Activision with legal action.
She stated, "For the record this Guitar Hero shit is breach of contract on a Bullys part and there will be a proper addressing of this and retraction." The rant continued: "WE are going to sue the shit out of Activision we being the Trust the Estate the LLC the various LLCs Cobain Enterprises."
Unsurprisingly Activision has declined to comment.

EDIT: Activision vice president Tim Riley, has now said that Love was well aware of all decisions that involved Cobain and that "Courtney supplied us with photos and videos," he also said "She picked the wardrobe and hairstyle, which turned out to be the 'Teen Spirit' look, then we went back and forth over changes – some subtle, some not so subtle."

Those guys should've insisted they use old pictures and videos for the the creation of their likenesses for that game.
