Just curious if anyone here has friends on Xbox Live that they compete with in terms of gamerscore... and if the competition is known between both or only in the head of one haha.

I have a friend who manages a Gamestop, and even though he had a system at launch and I didn't get my 360 till late 2006, I competed with him on gamerscore. I passed him very quickly though because he is a typical modern gamer/Gamestop employee/ADHD & Asperger syndrome baby who won't stick with a game for more than a few hours unless Game Informer magazine or IGN told him it's awesome.
Also, when I was unemployed last, I racked up a LOT of points quick so I passed everyone I knew and for awhile, everyone on my Friends List. Hail unemployment!

I have a few on my friends list. One of them is Phatcodylee. We do exactly compete as much as work together for the good of both of us. In example we will buy waffle games and trade them back and forth so we have nearly identical played games lists. what I have, he has and vice versa.
The other one is wildthing98 who got so indignant when we gave him a hard time about his gamerscore, that he got csi and harry potter and all those garbage games I handn't stooped to get at the time. plus he got a lot of the games that I had. so then he sent me a message when he passed me to gloat and told me that I should sell my xbox and get a gamecube.
It was officially on.
So you can imagine the message that I sent him after I put his gamerscore away in the next few months. I am over 10,000 points higher than him at this time!

Me and my buddies from school compete, ive had my xbox the 2nd shortest and was the first to break 10k and i currently only ahead of one of the ones who have had it the longest by about 350GS

well i cant really compete with anyone on my list because they range dramatically..the ones that are close to me are retired from gamerscore..and theres some that are at 110000+Gs and there some that are 40Gs below. personally i think competing for gamerscore is a really good way to rack up points FAST!

Yeah, I compete but on my own terms. I don't rent games at all or buy any for easy completion, so I achieve through dedication haha.
