That sucks M8, it should still be under warranty with that warranty extension that Microsoft amended, shouldn't it? I guess you would still have to pay for shipping up front, unless you can call them and get them to send you a pre-paid box.
Edit: Also, not to sound stupid, but do you have it vertical or horizontal? I know my 360 was having some problems when I had it vertical and it read better when I laid it down. Just a thought.

it's a good day now after closing and opening about 20 time get or take little now it's reading the game
i have horizontal i did have the cool fan but all my game freeze up like ever hour
but it's all good now i guess you get what you pay for
