Okay, so this is an idea that would be rather difficult and may not happen, and I am unsure if any other folks have suggested it.

So I signed up for an event today and it dawned on me, I never remember when the events are going down and I always end up forgetting about them. Even though XBA sends me a message on here, I always tend to be the one who logs on after the event already happened to catch the alert, lol.

So I was wondering if it was at all possible, to tie XBA Alerts and the 360 together to send out alerts.

Like the day the events you sign up for occur, XBA sees that, and sends a message to our Gamertag, so we can catch an alert on the 360 as well. I think it would help out with getting more folks to show up and everything.

I know I could be a bit more punctual about making the events, but some of us seem to like to keep playing whatever we play, instead of getting on the web, lol.

Thats a good idea, should't be too hard to do either. If it can't be done automatically the host of the even could send a message to all participants on LIVE just before the event begins.

I've always wished I could do this but, sorry, I can't. Microsoft will not give us developers access to a messenger feed, and even if we did have access, Microsoft has flood limits on the number of messages sent from a single user.

It is up to the creator of the Event to do this I think.

If you make an event and people sign up then it is not too much to ask that the creator of the event sends out a few invites / messages regarding his/her event.

Text messages cost money. I've toyed with using e-mail addresses to send text-messages but not every carrier supports it. Eventually we might introduce text messages for those whose carriers allow it.
