dont stop shooting. shoot ALWAYS, and try your best to hit EVERY black cat. also, DONT RESCUE SURVIVORS. first time i actually TRIED for the achievement, i got 43/45....i woulda had more but them forkin PT boats made me miss a couple....
also, when youre using the weapon thats on the front of the plane, SHOOT BOTH WEAPONS....makes it easier to kill them

Theres a good way I read to get it. I don't remember really what the numbers where. Split the mission into like three sections. First being when you first start shooting the planes. Second when you take a break then you start shooting again. And third your last run through. You need to get at least fifteen planes on the first section to make it easy on yourself or restart from a checkpoint. Try to get fifteen on the second section too I think? Then just shoot like crazy on the third section and you should get it.

i actually found this harder than mile high, lol.
but yeah, you definitely want at least 15 at the end of the first part.
when i finally got it, i had 16 at the beginning, luckily. ended up with 47 total.

Yep, I need to go back and get mile high club, I didn't really try it that many times cause I rented the game and returned it. But once you use that little strategy I stated it makes getting the black cats achievement alot easier.

mile high really is easy if you watch a couple vids on youtube.
it's all about the flash grenades. once i got that down i got it within 15-20 minutes easily.
i ended up screwing up the last part though and having to redo it a few times, hahaha.

i almost had this the first time i tried, but i ended up with 43 or 44 at then end :/ kinda ghey imo...but i was close. i just found it best to not worry about the survivors.....you get more that way

I can't get more than 6 on the entire level. I beat most of the game on Vet, I must be doing something seriously wrong.
I'm not sure of the name of the achievement, but I also cannot get the kill 50 guys from atop the Russian tank, this game is brutal.

I thought it was 15...whatever, I played on recruit for this one, and first try I got it...just took awhile to figure out where I had to get on the tank...didn't realize you could mount those tanks, probably would have made veteran a little easier

Put your controller sensitivity down low. Fire both guns. As someone stated before, split the level into pieces. In the first part, you need between 13-16 planes down so you aren't scrambling in the latter parts. If you don't know, you can pause the game and see how many planes you have shot down. If you don't get enough on the first part, restart. Once you have splashed down, it will give you a checkpoint. From here, shoot as many as you can until the end. When you see three planes flying straight at you and you run out of ammo, check your total. If you don't have enough, save and quit. Reload your save, and you will be at the checkpoint I talked about earlier. Try again. It took me about 14 tries before I got it.
