for headsets, the Microsoft ones (wired/wireless) do the job fine, but if you're picky about the quality, just go ahead and get a third party one, most of them are worth the extra money.

yes they are. from what i have heard, these turtle beach headsets really change up your gaming experience. i havent personally used them, but have heard nothing but great things about them. I believe Adrian is selling his for 80 bucks which is a great deal for the X31s.
