First off we DON'T have 20 daily MW2 threads. Thats an exaggeration.

Secondly what you're asking for is to make 1 thread allowed per game. If only one thread is allowed then what do we do when more than one is created? Right now some members just harass the hell out of other members. If you don't enforce something there is no point in having a rule.

Lastly who is anyone on the site to tell someone they can't start a thread about gaming? This is a gaming community. If someone wants to make a thread about gaming then they should be allowed. If we aren't big enough to have separate forums then we aren't big enough to moderate duplicate threads.

I also should note that some of my comments were not directed at you Noah, there are lots of people on the site who feel they have been here long enough to harass members who create duplicate threads and then others who bash some of the younger members because they create an occastion stupid thread. I just get tiired of some people trying to conform the members to a community and only have them post a certain way.

I'm under I don't care because it doesn't matter very much.. If I actually need something I'll post a thread about. Stop me.. But Jesus Christ, if it bothers everyone so much stop posting in those threads and post in useful threads. Make thought provoking ones..

In the end I'd say give people the right to make multiple threads. God would you join a forum where if you make a thread when there is already one you get INSTAFLAMED? Everyone needs to relax

you're right, i exaggerate when i say 20 threads a day. sorry.

i've already mentioned site-moderation. i DO NOT mean flaming other members. i would suggest supplying them with a link to the original game thread. obviously, not every game needs such moderation. it's games like MW2. if you don't notice the overwhelming creation of MW2 threads you aren't that active, lol.

i don't try and conform anyone here, bro. i'm not trying to tell anyone how to post. i was simply asking the ACTIVE community if they support ONE THREAD per game. i don't really know how realistic that is, because community moderation hasn't been perfect in the past, but it's better than nothing. most of us want to change what's been going on.

I said it before, but wasn't sure if it was in Jackson's mind to have the forum run this way; that is, having forums for every game. It would be a lot like x360a, with all the subforums and such, but would probably make for a much more organized forum, in my humble opinion.

I guess the problem that I have Noah is why does it bother people so much?

IMO a bigger deal is being made out of the whole thing than is necessary. So what if someone makes a duplicate MW2 thread? Who does it hurt? No one. Is it irritating to see 4 or 5 MW2 threads in the recent posts? Sure! But it doesn't hurt anything.

People get flamed here because they make threads, because they make ascinine posts and sometimes just because they USED to do those things. Its pretty stupid and I think having a "rule" that there should only be 1 thread will just encourage more flaming due to the fact that these people will now be breaking a rule.

I think if everyone just ignored the posts there would be no problem.

So all these threads made in a MW2 subforum woundnt show up on the home page? Because thats what I feel people think the issue is. They login as see 9/10 threads on the homepage about the same thing.

How about when starting a new thread about a game you have to enter the game title and it links you to a search for that title and you can see what threads have already been made?

Just so everyone is clear though I'm not trying to be an ass (I'm succeeding

) but the only excuses I have ever heard for not having duplicate threads are "Its irritating/annoying/etc" and "That's not how it used to be" or "<insert site here> doesn't do it that way" and "It clutters up the recent posts"

None of these are valid enough to make things official to not having duplicate threads. I like the idea of trying to prevent them but I don't like having a rule about it.
