Silent Hill Patch Incoming

Frame Rate & Audio Synch Issues Resolved



Although I'm really looking forward to traversing Silent Hill once again, it seems there have been some issues with the recently released HD Collection and Silent Hill: Downpour that Konami is aware of. A patch is said to be on the way soon for both games, correcting frame rate issues in both, as well as audio-synching in the HD Collection and an issue with auto-save in Downpour. Check out the official Konami press release below:


Today, Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. announced that online patches for both Silent Hill Downpour and Silent Hill HD Collection are currently in development and will be released soon.

Understanding the issues some users are experiencing, development teams are currently creating online patches for both games, which will fix the frame rate issues, the audio-synching in Silent Hill HD Collection, and the Auto-Save issues in Silent Hill Downpour. Players have voiced their concerns, and solutions to these issues will be fixed and launched in the coming weeks.

Patches for Silent Hill Downpour and Silent Hill HD Collection will be made available on both XBOX®Live Arcade and PlayStation®Network.






I am still disheartened that the HD Collection did not include either the original Silent Hill, nor my favorite entry in the series: Silent Hill 4. I haven't heard good or bad about Downpour, but I'm sure I will get to play that eventually, as well. Hopefully by the time I pick both of these up all the issues will be resolved.

I have downpour but barely played it. It's... ok so far. But I enjoyed homecoming, and 2 is my all time favorite.

basically on top of canceling the patch for the hd version of the 360 version they said tha IF you still had the receipt from the hd game when you bought it then you could send it back , personally this is just a kick in the nuts, i rented the game and the glitches were nuts, the auto fire of the machine gun in sh3 hd was practically enough to crash the game itself ntm the sound which was like nails on the chalkboard.

on game informer a couple days ago they said they flat out canceled the patch (360 ,then said they would accept returns with a receipt but how many people still have that?:confused::no:

Well that's some shit then, I have a bad issue with buying the HD collections then never actually getting around to playing them, I own SH HD, DMC HD, God of War HD, and MGS HD and the only one I've played was a bit of GoW and some of MGS :rolleyes:

i haven't had a chance to play this game even tho I've had it since it came out.....Are the problems really that bad or can they be ignored & still enjoy the game?



To me, this was just nostalgic because I was into all things Silent Hill in its early days. I was very off-put by the difficult and awkward angles and controls, but ultimately I do still intend on playing it.

I own it and have gotten very little playtime on it, kinda hoping for a patch to make it better. I know it's glitchy, but I'll take roll with it for the memories.

I am very glad I didn't pay full price for it. I picked it up from Gamefly when I had a coupon.
