Deus Ex: Human Revolution Hits Shelves In August
If any of you have been closely watching and waiting for a release date for Deus Ex 3, Square Enix and Eidos Montreal has finally set a solid release date. On their website, www.deusex.com it shows a North American Release date of 8/23/2011. Just releasing before all the winter game releases. A nice distraction until G.O.W. 3 releases.
The official title will be Human Revolution. Human Revolution is set as a prequel to the first Deus Ex. Set in the year 2027 as the story follows Adam Jensen, a private security officer that works for a powerful company that is in the process of developing bio-mechanical augmentaions. Recently this company has been under the receiving end of attacks aimed to sabotage and destroy the company. Adam Jensen finds himself trying to uncover who is behind the recent attacks against the company.
Looking at some of the videos posted on youtube and the gameplay trailer on deusex.com, you can tell they really amped up the graphics and gameplay. I am truly excited to see how the story unfolds. Perhaps it will answer some questions and fill in some gaps to the first Deus Ex. Hopefully it will show the events that lead up to the formation of UNATCO, the global anti-terrorism unit formed by the U.N.?
Of course there will be some pre-order incentives. Gamestop is offering the Explosive Mission Pack, which includes an exclusive mission, automatic unlocking device and two exclusive weapons, the grenade launcher and the remote denoated explosive. Amazon, Best Buy and Wal-Mart will be offering the Tactical Enhancement Pack, which includes double barrel shotgun, silenced sniper rifle and 10,000 extra credits.
There will also be an Augmented Edition, which features a 40 page art book, a "Making Of'" DVD, game soundtrack, a motion graphic novel. These extra features will set you back an additional 10 bucks.
