COD Creative Strategist Robert Bowling Departs IW/Activision
Today, I resign from my position as Creative Strategist of Call of Duty, as a lead of Infinity Ward, and as an employee of Activision
Joystiq got hold of Activision's official comment regarding the departure, as seen below:
We sincerely thank Robert for his many years of service. He's been a trusted and valued member of the Infinity Ward team. We wish him all the best on his decision to pursue future opportunities.
Judging from Activision's response, it seems that the departure was not on bad terms. It just seems strange that Bowling would up and leave so suddenly after being so prominent in his role as Creative Strategist. Could the direction of the COD series and rumored collaboration between Infinity Ward and Treyarch have something to do with it?
