Xbox Developer Killed

I just read this tragic story over at g4tv.com about an Xbox software developer, Melissa Batten who was killed by her estranged husband on July 29th. According to the police reports Batten was on her way to work when Joseph Batten shot her to death with a 9mm before turning the weapon on himself. My prayers go out to Melissas' friends and family in this dark time and I hope everyone else here prays for them as well.

I'm not even religious but you can bet I will pray for them, there is no reason for someone to decide someone else's fate in that way

well...he got what he desearved than by taking his own life

people piss me off thinking they can play god and kill someone just because they pissed them off. Grow up and learn to deal with it like the rest of us normal folk have.

infierno for husband much?

if you think about it tho, although its the dumbest thing you can do, its kind of a smart way to stay out of jail and the grief of what youve done. kill someone and then yourself. course thats never a good answer, but in some retrospects its somewhat smart..except maybe the takin your life part..that isnt always the best idea..

this is where my religious beliefs come into play on something like this...im just stating my opinion not telling people what they should think

yeah he is out of jail...but if you take your own life, your burning in hell for eternity...so either way, its lose/lose...jail is just the lesser of two evils. Like I said...people should just suck up being pissed off and get over it like the rest of us....not go shoot somebody
