"Shadow Complex" marries the quality and depth of a full retail title with the stunning visuals of Epic Games' industry-leading Unreal Engine 3, and a classic side-scroller. Set in the world of Orson Scott Card's best-selling novel, Empire, Shadow Complex provides more than 10 hours of in-depth gameplay and introduces a compelling universe
These games are very interesting looking; for me, 3 are a day 1 purchase and I'll definitely try demos of the other two. Jeez though, 1200 really is the new 800.
I personally don't mind forking over $15 for Shadow Complex, since it is new, great-looking and based on some awesome gameplay ideas and elements from old action/platformers I love like Metroid and Contra. Anyone read the novel Empire?
I don't, however, like paying so much for a graphical update to Turtles in Time, especially since the Re-shelled is based on the arcade version and not the console ports that had extra levels.
I know I will buy MvC2 (damn you, Capcom!) but from what I have read, the "HD enhancements" are just minor filters. If they want $15 for the Dreamcast version of this game with added Live support, I wish they had done the 1080p sprite redraw like SS2THDR. Either way, I'll finally be able to shoot some of you with a PROTON CANNON.
I think Twisted Pixel was smart to put Splosion Man at the 800 price-point, since it's also a new ip. The freshness of it, combined with how level-packed it is, almost makes it look more worth 1200 than some of the others though. Trials I know nothing about, but will try.
