Game Development Engine from Vicious Cycle Software Makes the Jump to Next-Gen Consoles

Vicious Cycle Software, a premier developer of interactive entertainment and game development technology, today announced that the new version of its game development engine, Vicious Engine 2 (Ve2), will be premiering in Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PLAYSTATION3 computer entertainment system.
The recently announced title Eat Lead, a third-person shooter with a sense of humor, by D3Publisher (D3P) employs all of the next-generation improvements to Ve2s rendering and animation systems, including overhauled lighting and shader technology, advanced audio and AI, and enhanced physics and path finding.
This generation of console hardware has the capacity to render stunning visual fidelity, not to mention realistic audio, animations and AI, said Wayne Harvey, vice president and CTO of Vicious Cycle Software. Thanks to the vastly improved facilities of todays consoles, games must step up and use the power that is available to them.
