Saints Row 2 Delayed

According to a report on Reuters, THQ has announced plans to delay the release of Saints Row 2 into the fall. Formerly slated to ship in August, the game is now targeting an October 14 release. The move will allow THQ to further polish the game and put together a stronger marketing strategy prior to its release.

"Product quality is a huge driver of a game's success and this move allows us to polish the game. The game is done, it's about polish," Bob Aniello, senior vice president of worldwide marketing, told Reuters in an interview.

If anything, the delay should give you more time to nail down a 100% completion status in Grand Theft Auto IV before the next game like it releases.

There may be one thing this game has that'll make it a big more interesting than GTA IV and that would be co-op through the whole game. I mean, GTA has released how many different games with no complete co-op and yet Saint's Row is on game #2 and they have it already?

Yeah i agree with you knight....the co-op should be pretty sweet. One thing I enjoyed and spent countless hours on in the old GTA games was customizing the cars. In Saint Row that was one of the coolest part for me. Being able to make a custom character and then trick out your car was made it much more fun

Sucks I was looking forward to this game since GTA4 was well..the same as SR just barely different. I guess Ill have to hit up MGS4 when that comes out to pass the time.
