Final Fantasy XIII to be released in 2010

Square Enix President Yoichi Wada told Reuters in an interview this Thursday that Final Fantasy XIII will not be released this year in the United States. Final Fantasy will be released in Japan this year as a PS3 exclusive, but will not come out locally until around April, 2010 (a tentative date) for both the 360 and the PS3.
Unfortunately this is something that Final Fantasy fans, including myself, have expected. It was tremendous news when Square Enix announced that XIII would come to the 360, but there was much speculation that it would cause the release dates to be pushed out. So I will have to wait until next year to play a game that will completely absorb my life for at least 60-80 hours.
