Great news..can't wait!!!!. Beat the first on normal but someday need to go back, finish it on hard.
BioShock 2 Announced

Xbox 360 owners rejoiced everywhere today as Take-Two Interactive announced that BioShock 2 was officialy. In the works under development by the recently formed 2K Marin Studio, the sequel is actually rumored to be a prequel to the original. Planned for a fourth-quarter fiscal 2009 release, Take-Two's fiscal year ends at the end of October, so we can expect to see BioShock 2 hit "unspecified platforms" before the holiday 2009 season.
Of course, by unspecified platforms, 2K clearly means Xbox 360 and PC. Unfortunatley I didn't get to play much of BioShock, but what I did play was absolutley amazing and I'm eagerly awaiting a price drop to pick that Big Daddy up! BioShock has around 2 million unit sales already since it's August 2007 release, so 2K Marin is going to have to step their game up!
