3rd Borderlands DLC Announced - The Secret Armory of General Knox

Gearbox and 2k Games have just shed light on the oh so surprising 3rd DLC for Borderlands "The Secret Armory of General Knox". There's no real information on the game , though we can get an idea from the title and the screen shots given. Gearbox only stated about the DLC that there will be more weapons (Like we didn't already have enough) and a higher level cap ... and from recent incidents of modders already breaking the level cap, its safe to assume it might go up to 70 ... but who knows. Now we all know Gearbox LOVES ACHIEVEMENTS, so its safe to say there will be new achievements that correlate with the higher level cap. Judging from the screens this DLC wont be a disappointment just as Underdome was but we'll just have to wait and see

No release date , but since its been announced now it probably wont be too long until it hits the marketplace, look for to it

Well, since I didn't click on the links, and all the OP wrote was complete speculation, I'm going to speculate that before Gearbox is done milking this turd for all it's worth I'm going to kill someone.

First off, I liked this game. Past tense. LikED. Then there was a second playthrough. There was a horrible grind to get to level 50. There was a sloppily thrown together zombie DLC. Then there was the ludicrous Mad Moxxi never ending loop of the same fucking enemies debacle.

Here we go again. I said it before, and I say it again...

Gearbox, for Christ's sake, euthanize this IP. Let me just have my completion without having to look over my shoulder to see if you are sneaking up behind me to fuck me in the ass with more bullshit DLC!

The OP speculates that the level cap may be extended to 70. This had better not be the case! I liken the grind to 50 to sitting in front of a buffet and allowing yourself to starve to death.

Ooooh more weapons!! I'll just add those to the collection of throw aways that I ended up pawning off as fast as they hit my inventory. Seriously?? Two DLCs and not 1 single weapon worth equipping?? Give me a fucking break!

This is the last straw. It kills me, but I'm going against my overwhelming urge to complete everything that I play and not give this game any more of my time or money. Eat shit Gearbox... eat shit and die!

2. i never even completed the underdome because it was so bad.
3. i think Gearbox plans to do a lot of sneaking.....and fucking of the ass.
4. somewhere on the gearbox forums, a moderator or someone mentioned they planned to make it 1,750 points total.... or 2,000 if Xbox will approve it.
5. idk if I'll ever play this game again.

If it's more campaign levels I'm totally up for that if they make new bad guys. New guns are a plus but I only seem to use a shotgun and a combat rifle, if they really plan to make this game go up to 1750, I will cry... I don't think they could make anything else original when it comes to DLC...

Wow, am I the only one still liking borderlands? Im pumped for this DLC. Now, here is my opinion of borderlands, as of the last two DLC releases...

- The zombie island was dull and didn't feel that fun to play through. Me and queen grinded it out (didnt take long) but it wasnt up to snuff.

- The undrdome is a blast ! I love horde/firefight/extraction modes (gears, halo, AoT respectively) so having an area you can blast through via co-op is good time for me, like this dlc much more than the first.

The BIGGEST DRAWBACK for me is the lack of weapons. I have been using the same good weapons since before the first DLC. Please throw me something to replace my current gear, please gearbox, please.

And for those who don't like the fact DLC has achievements, I dont see why. I like getting more GS and chievos to hunt for when I drop the 400-800 pts on it. Just me ya know?
