SNL 40: Ahh the Memories
Growing up in the 80's and 90's, SNL was such a highlight of my childhood. We looked forward to it every week because it was such a one of kind television experience. Being prior to the internet age and cable reruns, it was only on once a week and you were lucky to catch off season reruns during the summer. It wasn't even until sometime in the 90's when we started seeing VHS collections. Eddie Murphy's being the first I ever saw. We wore that tape out so much that we went through more than one.
For well over a week now, when the TV's been on this house, it's been tuned to VH1Classic. Aside from a few shows on my dvr, I've watched nothing but the SNL Rewind once they hit the mid 90's. They're down to the golden era of the 70's now leading up the the live 40th Anniversary special tomorrow night. Yes, I even sat through a number of the dreadful early 80's episodes, which I'd never seen many in their entirety, if not just for the diamonds in the rough that were Eddie Murphy's sketches. Having viewed episodes from every era now I wanted to offer my personal rankings and favorites.

I was torn when choosing the worst actors so I picked ones who were on the show for more than two seasons. Don't get me started on Robert Downy Jr. and Anthony Michael Hall. I offered most of this up as a post on facebook the other day and it sparked disappointingly and surprisingly little discussion. So I thought I'd post it here as well and see if anyone here has anything to offer on the subject. I'd love to see who were some of your favorites and least favorites.
