Resident Evil 5's new downloadable mission Lost In Nightmares, just as the xbox description says, is an extra mission where you go back to live out Chris's last mission with Jill and when she "dies" fighting Wesker.
"This is what a mansion is like without a maid"
From something like this you expect more of a story behind this DLC, maybe understand the close relation between Chris and Jill or something of that sort, theres nothing like that, heck theres nothing really to tell in this DLC, they might as well have just sent us straight to the Wesker fight instead of wasting our time with useless puzzles. The mission begins you Chris and Jill entering Spencers estate to stop Wesker once and for all. You go through three different sections with there own puzzles to it , if you want to call it a puzzle. The sections are small and it makes it easy to understand the direction you need to go. After you go through those three short sections you face off with Wesker and you get the same scene you witnessed in the actual game ... So is this just reminding us how Chris and Jill got owned ?
Anyway, some of you may just want to shoot and kill zombies right ? well there isnt really any zombies in this DLC to begin with. You have a couple zombies lying on the ground who can jump up and grab you, but theyre easily noticable and can be killed instantly. Besides them theres also a new ... sub boss i guess, its a giant mutated zombie with an oversized brain on its back with an eye ball popping out and a giant axe. The way to defeat it is to shoot the eye on its oversized brain, but honestly you dont even really need to kill them , you can run right pass them to proceed if you can get passed its overkilling axe slam or the grab it can pull you ultimately resulting in your death ... So thats all the action your going to get before Wesker who is a push over himself
"Wesker sure knows how to treat his guest"
And if any of you are wondering , you dont get to use any unlimited amno weapons or any items you had from your main campaign. Your left with a pistol each and randomly set weapons in the mansion and even then the amno is pretty minimum, but then again you only have to fight those giant sub bosses
Achievement Wise, this DLC is pretty easy, you will go through two - three playthroughs
First playthrough - Select the game on Veteran, will collect all the Score Stars during this playthrough and try to clear it with an S rank and doing a good amount of damage on Wesker, which is simply beating him
Second Run - Professional, simply run though it , dont burden yourself trying to kill everything and waste your time
Third Playthrough - A Clean Up run if you missed the score stars, didnt clear it with an S rank.
Yes its as simple as that , This is the only thing youll need in terms of resoucres for this DLC is something for the Score Stars, i highly recommend this one (Lost In Nightmares - Score Stars Locations)
Overall, i didnt like the DLC , your paying 400 microsoft points simply for 100 more gamerscore and about 2-3 hours of gameplay if your getting all those achievements. We already know Jill dies defeating Wesker, why waste our time if its not going to give us more story to it. I rate it a 3/10, simply because of the extra characters for anyone who actually plays mercenaries mode.
