I haven't picked this title up yet but being a fan of the first game I was just wondering from those who have it if they are enjoying it and think its worth picking up?

It is definitely worth purchasing and a contender for game of the year.

I agree with this statement completely. I really enjoyed the first one. So far from what I have played of 2, this game is great.

Totally agree with this.
They fixed most of the problems from the first game, then they added a ton of stuff to do, and the story still rocks.
I'm loving every minute of it.

I consider this a potential "job-loser"...I've seriously debated calling in sick to work to play. Only the threat of an irate wife has stopped me.

Good luck collecting those flags....
Oh and on the second one there are only 2 collection achievements, 1 for 8 statues and 1 for 100 feathers - but the game actually lists how many feathers you have found in each town and even each section of each town, making it a LOT easier than the 400+ collectables in the first game that you have no idea which ones you have collected.
There are also "treasure boxes" that you can open up but there doesn't appear to be achievements attached, but you can even buy a map to show you where the treasures are! Much much better than the first one.

I spent three solid days looking for one King Richard's flag. Got my 1K though.

yeah I currently have to finish my second playthrough of the first game because I missed the conversationalist achievement and I still have to find my last few templars and flags but I definitely think I'm going to try to pick up this game as soon as possible.

Well I didn't enjoy the first because I thought it was very repetative. It that fixed in this one. I want to try it but I keep thinking how bored I was with the first one. Should I still try it or should I avoid it since I didn't like the first

No this one isn't as repetitive. It gives you allot more variety for killing and weapons. As well the health bar is actually a health bar and not synchronization. If you are still wondering about the game rent it for a few days or borrow it from a friend. I recommend atleast renting it if you aren't considering buying it since it is a great game.
