Curious to hear from those who have wireless adapters. In the new house we had to wire the internet into a different room than my Xbox and I am not running a cable through the whole house to get it to the Xbox and I'm not paying someone to put in the new wiring unless the wireless sucks.

Anyone have positive or negative experience using the Xbox 360 wireless adapters?

What's the main difference between the old one and the new Wireless N adapter?

Just looking for any and all info.

Wireless is fine for the casual gamer like myself, but if you play online alot with others then go wired as you will have better connections and less connection failures.

The new N adapter is just the channel for the broadband. They say as the channels fill up (what was there A or G, I think ?) another channel keeps the traffic smoother. Think of it as a 3 lane road compared to a 2 lane road I guess.

I use the older wireless adapter with My ATT 2 Wire Router, no problems whether its wired or wireless.




All of what he said. Also it does make a diffrence how much interference is between the router and adapter (both physical and electronic). I personally have had to move my Xbox a few times to give it a more direct path to my router but it works great.

I have the regular white one and have been using it for 2 year with no problems. I dont really see any difference between the wired and wireless besides from maybe minimal speed differences, but it not enough to notice anything or run a wire accross the house. My xbox is directly below my router on the lower floor so that probably helps. I dont think you really need an N adapter unless youve got money to spend. The G/B one works just fine and you should be able to find one for mabe a little over $50

Perfect, thanks for all the input guys.

I will have the Xbox one room over from the router, only one wall in between and not too much as far as potential electrical interference either.

If I can pick up an N adapter for a deal I will. Otherwise A/G will be fine.
